Tutorial: How to create your own virtual networking lab (Part 1 - VirtualBox)

I am studying "Computer Systems Administration & Networking", and in school we have practiced how to install Windows Server 2003 & 2008, I have built my own "Virtual Lab" using VirtualBox, and SmoothWall to keep practicing with. I am using a Lenovo G580 Laptop with Windows 8, Intel Core i3 processor, and 8GB of ram...

Step 1 -- Download & install the latest version of VirtualBox, and the Extension Pack from here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

Download the highlighted items.

Click the highlighted buttons... ver easy.., If it asks you to install drivers, click Accept, blah, blah blah...

NOTE: Remember to go into your BIOS settings and enable Virtualization, or VT. IF your CPU supports it..

 here an example: http://www.sysprobs.com/disable-enable-virtualization-technology-bios

Might change depending on your system.

Next up: Creating the SmoothWall Virtual Machine....
